TERMS OF USE
The terms that govern this site.
The Legal & Disclaimer page describes what ProbHoops is and where its boundaries sit. This page is the agreement that applies when you use it. By using probhoops.com you accept these terms.
Effective 25 August 2026 · superseded only by a later version published at this URL.
01 · SCOPE
What you are using
ProbHoops publishes basketball statistics, model-derived probabilities, projected scores, research and explanatory analysis. It is an independent project and is not a data feed, a broadcast service, an advisory service, or a source of official league information.
Access is offered as-is and free of charge. No account, contract, subscription or service level is created by using the site.
02 · GOVERNING LAW
Brazilian law, Brasília venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of Brasília, Federal District, Brazil are the agreed venue for any dispute arising from the site or these terms.
Where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own jurisdiction grants you rights that cannot be waived by agreement, those rights are unaffected by this clause.
03 · NO WARRANTY
Estimates, not assurances
ProbHoops gives no warranty that the site will be available, uninterrupted, timely, complete, accurate, or fit for any particular decision. Probabilities and projections are statistical estimates produced by a declared methodology; they can be wrong.
Third-party factual inputs — schedules, availability, scores, box scores, roster facts — may be delayed, restated or withdrawn by their sources at any time.
04 · LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
What ProbHoops is not liable for
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ProbHoops is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its outputs. That expressly includes wagering, financial, commercial and competitive decisions, and any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
05 · ACCEPTABLE USE
How the site may be used
Reading, quoting with attribution, teaching from, and linking to ProbHoops are all welcome and need no permission.
The following require prior written agreement: bulk or automated extraction that imposes a material load; systematic replication of ProbHoops output as a competing or derivative dataset; resale or redistribution of ProbHoops output as a data product; and any use that presents ProbHoops output as official league information or as endorsed by any club, league or player.
06 · WITHDRAWAL AND CHANGE
Content may be corrected or withdrawn
ProbHoops may correct, supersede, restrict or withdraw any page, dataset or output at any time, including while a rights question is being reviewed. Frozen forecasts and audit records are preserved according to the published methodology rather than rewritten.
These terms may change. The version in force is the one published at this URL, with the effective date shown above.
06b · PH$
The game currency
PH$ is a game scale published by ProbHoops. It confers no rights, no credit, no balance and no entitlement of any kind. It has no monetary value, is not redeemable or convertible, cannot be transferred between users, and is not consideration for anything.
PH$ figures may be quoted and discussed freely under clause 08. They must not be presented as, or alongside a claim that they represent, any player's salary, contract terms, market price, transfer value or professional standing. ProbHoops may recalculate, rescale or withdraw PH$ at any time, including retroactively, as the underlying method is revised.
07 · OWNERSHIP
What ProbHoops owns
The probabilities, projected scores, AF-Score and its components, the model methodology and its written description, the team monograms, the accuracy and governance records, and the site's design, code and copy are the original work of ProbHoops.
Factual sports data — schedules, results, box scores, official availability designations — are facts. ProbHoops claims no ownership over them and no exclusivity in them. What is original is the derivation, not the underlying events.
NBA, team and player names and other third-party marks belong to their respective owners and are used here only for factual identification and statistical commentary.
08 · CITATION
How to cite ProbHoops
Journalists, researchers, students and other analysts may quote ProbHoops figures without asking, provided the attribution names ProbHoops, links to the page the figure came from, and states the date the figure was read. Probabilities change as inputs change; an undated figure misrepresents the estimate.

Citing a ProbHoops number does not imply that ProbHoops endorses the article, the argument or the outcome it is used to support.
